National Park Krka - One of the most beautiful national parks in Croatia proclaimed 1985. It was formed to protect the Krka River and is intended primarily for scientific, cultural, educational, recreational, and tourism activities.Visit the natural wonders at Krka National Park with 17 different waterfalls on a day trip from Dubrovnik.

On this unique tour you will visit National Park Krka which covers the area along the flow of river Krka, whose source is three kilometers northeast of Knin and which passes through a deep and vivid 75 km long canyon forming deafening falls - Krčić, Risnjak,Miljacka, the Roški slap Falls and the famous Skradinski buk Falls. This canyon is the greatest calcareous travertine barrier in Europe. The lower Krka flows through Prukljansko lake and flows into a 9 km long bay - Šibenski zaljev.

Stop At: Split, Split

Split - The second-largest city in Croatia, Split (Spalato in Italian) is a great place to see Dalmatian life as it’s really lived. Always buzzing, this exuberant city has just the right balance of tradition and modernity. Step inside Diocletian’s Palace (a Unesco World Heritage site and one of the world’s most impressive Roman monuments) and you’ll see dozens of bars, restaurants and shops thriving amid the atmospheric old walls where Split life has been going on for thousands of years. To top it off, Split has a unique setting. Its dramatic coastal mountains act as the perfect backdrop to the turquoise waters of the Adriatic.

Stop At: Skradinski Buk Waterfall, Visovacko jezero, Sibenik-Knin County

Skradinski buk is one of the most attractive parts of the park. It is a massive, clear, natural pool with high waterfalls at one end and cascades at the other. It is the lowest of the three sets of waterfalls formed along the Krka river. In an area 400 m in length and 100 m in width there are 17 waterfalls and the total difference in height between the first and the last falls is 47.7 m.

Stop At: The Peristyle of Diocletian's Palace, Dioklecijanova Ulica, Split 21000

Peristyle, as the central square of the Palace, intended for the Emperor Diocletian celebrated as the living son of Jupiter, finds its place among many temples. Peistyle became the ideal theatre scenery, perfect for opera classics and works of ancient literature, but also the stage where abundant urban life continues. Peristyle is a unique experience, one of the closest touches of a modern man with the ancient heritage, not only Roman, but also Egyptian, as the Peristyle is closely watched over by a 3500 old and perfectly preserved sphinx, the witness of Split's history in making. This is why John Paul the II in amazement said " Dear God, how many feet have stepped through here", and this is why citizens of Split think of Peristyle as the centre of Split and the entire world.

The Croatian National Theatre in Split is a theatre located in Split, Croatia. Originally opened in 1893, the theatre is owned and operated by the City of Split and is one of the oldest surviving theatres in Dalmatia. The theatre building was originally constructed as the Split Municipal Theatre in 1893.

Stop At: Cathedral of Saint Domnius, Kraj Sv.Duje 5, Split 21000

The Cathedral of St. Domnius is a complex of a church, formed from an Imperial Roman mausoleum, with a bell tower; strictly the church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and the bell tower to Saint Domnius. Together they form the Cathedral of St. Domnius.

The Cathedral of Saint Domnius, consecrated at the turn of the 7th century AD, is regarded as the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world that remains in use in its original structure.

Stop At: Prokurative, TRG Republike 1, Split 21000

Prokurative is a large, open square surrounded on three sides by a collection of elaborate neo-Renaissance buildings known as the Prokurative. On the southern side, the square opens up to a lovely view of the harbour. Construction of the Prokurative started during the latter half of the 19th century under the supervision of General Marmont, with the buildings inspired largely by the architecture of the same period in Venice. While relatively unoccupied in the cooler months, the square comes alive in the summer with concerts and cultural events, the most popular being the Entertainment Musical Festival of Split.

Stop At: The Golden Gate, Ul. Kralja Tomislava, Split 21000

Golden gate or "the northern gate" is one of the four principal Roman gates into the stari grad (old town) of Split that was once Diocletian's Palace. Originally the main gate from which the Emperor entered the complex, the gate is on the road to the north, towards Salona, the then capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia and Diocletian's birthplace.

Stop At: Riva Harbor, Riva Promenade, Split 21000

The Riva started to look the way it does today two centuries ago, when the French, in time of Napoleon ruled these parts through Marshal Marmont. Today this promenade is the cities living room, the most popular and most important public place in Split. In the meantime it has been widened and reconstructed several times, but it was always blessed with the most spectacular set, the south facade of the Diocletian Palace, with the entrance into the substructures.

The Vestibule (The Rotonda), (The Atrium), is the first section of the imperial corridor in Diocletian's Palace that led from the Peristyle which was once the formal entrance to the imperial apartments of the Palace.

The Diocletian Palace cellars represent one of the best preserved ancient complexes of their kind in the world, and hence are in many ways responsible for the reason the historical core of Split was in 1979 included on the UNESCO'S World Heritage list.

In the Roman times, their function was to elevate the Emperor's chambers on the floor above, but they were also the storage area for the Palace.In the early Middle Ages a part of them was used as a residential area.Today the Substructures are full of life. They regularly host painting and sculpture exhibitions, theatre plays, gastronomic and oenological presentations, and many other social and cultural events. The central hall, representing the main communication line between the Riva and the Peristyle, is a place to buy valuable souvenirs, and the rest of the Substructures is open for sightseeing as one of the greatest attractions of Split, frequently, besides Peristyle, a synonym for Diocletian Palace.
