Overview

Like every Saturday, we go out to live the most complete Outlander experience.

Departing from Edinburgh, we embark on a 2-day, 1-night trip with accommodation included.

The trip will be guided and entertained in Spanish by one of our Outlander series experts who will tell you every detail along the way.

The first day we will visit various locations in the Lowlands before heading north, specifically, the city of Inverness where we will spend the night.

The next day we will visit the most important locations located in the Highlands, such as, Culloden battlefield, Craigh Na Dun hill and the Falkland village that acts as the Inverness of the 18th century.

Description

Day 1: Lallybroch - Fort William - Leoch - Cranesmuir - Inverness

Stop At: Midhope Castle, Near Abercorn, South Queensferry EH526QZ United Kingdom
Only 10 minutes from the city of Edinburgh Midhope Castle, known in the series as Lallybroch Castle, the place where Jamie's family lives.

Duration: 45 minutes

Stop At: Blackness Castle, Blackness, Linlithgow EH497NH United Kingdom
Not far beyond the Lallybroch apartments and looking out over the Firth of the Forth is Fort William. A fortress from the 15th century known in reality as Blackness Castle and which is the scene of one of the most representative scenes of the series. This place is the Black Jack Randall base where Jamie was imprisoned. Do you know what scene we mean?

Stop At: Doune Castle, Castle Hill, Doune FK166EA United Kingdom
During the course of the morning we approach the Highlands and there we stop to see another classic setting from the Outlander series, Leoch Castle, the residence of Jamie's uncle and the McKenzie clan enclave in the 18th century.

This castle plays a very important role in the series. From the first chapter we can see the importance of this emblematic place. Claire was taken to Leoch when she travels to the past. You will also visit him with Jamie in the 20th century.

In reality, it is Doune Castle, one of the best preserved medieval castles in Scotland and which has served as the setting for other great series such as Game of Thrones.

Stop At: Culross, Culross United Kingdom
It is a clear example of what a town in Scotland looked like during the 18th century, the century in which Jamie and Claire wrote their love story.

Culross was a must-see on Outlander. The area of his 'market cross' was transformed into the fictional village of Cranesmuir where Geillis lives and behind the impressive Culross Palace is Claire's orchard.

Finally, Black Kirk, an abandoned chapel that puts a knot in your stomach and was also used as a filming location in the first season.

The city of INVERNESS will be our final destination for the day. Here we will spend the evening discovering the capital of the Highlands and its gastronomy.

Day 2: Culloden Battlefield - Craigh Na Dun - Inverness

Stop At: Culloden Battlefield, Culloden Battlefield Visitor Centre, Culloden Moor IV25EU United Kingdom
Early in the morning and after spending the night in the city of Inverness, we charged up at breakfast to travel a few kilometers to the outskirts of the city.

There, the Culloden Battlefield awaits us, one of the most desired places for Otlander's followers. Once inside, we will find a memorial to all the clans that rose up in the Jacobite revolution and that lost their lives defending their roots, their dynasty and their religion.

Also, there we find a tombstone that recalls the Fraser clan, the clan of the protagonist of the series Jamie Fraser. Without a doubt, an emotional place for all those in love with this beloved character.

In 1746, this was the last battle on British soil and it put an end to that period known as the Jacobite Uprising.

Stop At: Kinloch Rannoch, Kinloch Rannoch United Kingdom
Outlander fans, who hasn't dreamed of going to Craigh Na Dun? The place where Claire found the stone circle that took her back in time. The circle of stones that discovered a parallel life in another century where he met eternal love.

Who doesn't dream of being there? Without a doubt, a magical place that we could not miss: Craigh Na Dun.

We will visit the hill where the stones of the series were. Although the stones are NO longer in the place, there you can clearly distinguish the trees, landscapes and details that formed this wonderful scene where Celtic rituals were practiced and that served as a door in time for Claire.

But in addition to visiting Craigh Na Dun, the spectacular scenery of the Highlands that will accompany us until we reach the place have no waste.

Stop At: Falkland, Falkland United Kingdom
And to put the icing on the cake, we will go to the charming town of Falkland. A quiet and friendly town that represented Inverness in the 1940s and 1960s. Definitely a must have for any Outlander lover.

There the first scene of the series is recreated. In the town square you will see the Coventanter hotel that represents Mrs. Baird's little hotel and also, Bruce's fountain where Jamie's ghost looks into Claire's room. Other streets were used in the filming of the second season.

Without a doubt, a day full of unique moments and unforgettable places that will culminate with our return to Edinburgh around 7:00 pm
