Overview

Visit to the city of the seven hills passing through the most emblematic places where you can observe several monuments that reflect the history of this city. We highlight São Jorge Castle, Rossio, Avenida da Liberdade, Marquês de Pombal, Praça do Comércio, Bairro Alto, Alfama, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries and Jeronimos Monastery.

If you opt for an 8-hour tour you will still have time to visit the Lisbon Oceanarium, as well as the entire Expo area and museums or places of interest we suggest or choose from, you will have the option to have lunch in a typical Lisbon neighborhood or in a Restaurant overlooking the city.

Stop At: Parque Eduardo VII, Av. Sidonio Pais, Lisbon 1070

Situated at the northern end of Avenida da Liberdade, at the top of Marquês do Pombal Square, this is the largest park in Lisbon. Initially called the Freedom Park, it was renamed the King of England who, in 1903, came to Lisbon to reaffirm the alliance between the two countries.
With twenty-five hectares, it develops along a central axis materialized in the large mall with a large grassy slope, offering unique corners and various valences.
In the northwest corner is the Cold Greenhouse. Nearby is a large koi pond and a children's playground in the shape of a galleon.
On the east side is the Carlos Lopes Pavilion, built in 1932, the stage of various diverse.
At the top is the 25th April Monument by João Cutileiro, followed by the Amalia Rodrigues Garden and a monumental viewpoint that has spectacular views of the S. Jorge Castle, the Baixa Pombalina and of course the Tagus River. .
The park features many other venues, such as restaurants, terrace, gazebo, picnic area, tennis court, gym, swimming pool, and is also the scene of other events, such as the famous Annual Book Fair.

Stop At: Avenida da Liberdade, Lisbon 1250

Avenida da Liberdade, which connects Praça dos Restauradores with Praça Marquês de Pombal and is considered one of the most elegant places in the city of Lisbon, a point of choice for offices, centenary trees, internationally renowned fashion stores, a procession center, festivities, demonstrations and place of passage of thousands and thousands of workers daily.

Stop At: Rossio Square, Praca Dom Pedro IV, Lisbon 1100

D. Pedro IV Square is best known by its old name, Rossio Square, and delimits the area of Baixa Pombalina which has been the heart of Lisbon for over 600 years. This square marks the center of the city, as it is a space that is always lively and that is known for the Portuguese pavement pavement.

In Rossio Square took place the most diverse initiatives, such as bullfighting, festivals, military parades, political rallies and even autos of faith, at the time of the Inquisition. This square was reborn from the rubble left by the 1755 earthquake that struck Lisbon. Due to its historical charge it is an authentic living book.

Stop At: Praca do Comercio (Terreiro do Paco), Avenida Infante Dom Henrique 1C, Lisbon 1100

Also known as Terreiro do Paço, Praça do Comércio is one of the most majestic squares of Lisbon and the World. Situated on the Tagus River, Praça do Comércio seems to want to envy the beauty of the river, its size and mesmerizing color.
This is one of the largest squares in Europe.

Stop At: Alfama, Lisbon

Alfama is one of the most genuine neighborhoods of Lisbon, its architecture features peculiar characteristics of old and colorful buildings that give it a character of joy and tranquility. Walking around Alfama is an invitation to get lost among extremely charming alleys. Easy to get lost, even easier to find!

Stop At: Castelo de S. Jorge, Rua de Santa Cruz do Castelo, Rua De Santa Cruz Do Castelo, S/n, 1100-129, Lisbon 1100

Located on the highest hill in Lisbon, and with a heady view of the city, São Jorge Castle allows us to take a trip back in time, where all the stones speak, telling us the history of Lisbon.
Walking around the castle, we can imagine a Lisbon of old, while we get lost in one of the best views of the city and the Tagus. Watching the skyline from its vantage points is a unique experience that falls in love with tourists and locals. Among the eleven towers of the castle, the gardens and the inspiring landscape, it is easy to understand the reasons why this emblematic castle is one of the most visited monuments in Portugal.

Stop At: Torre de Belem, Avenida Brasilia - Belem, Lisbon 1400

Belém Tower is one of the monuments that characterizes the identity of Lisbon. Located on the banks of the Tagus River, the tower is a landmark of the Age of Discovery and depicts the extravagance that was experienced in Portugal at the time when the country was a great power. The visit begins from the outside, where you can see the ornaments of the monument that was built in the Manueline style.
The tower, which is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the 7 wonders of Portugal, received over 500,000 visitors in 2013. The monument is divided into 2 parts, the tower and the stronghold. The tower is divided into 5 floors, which are currently empty and accessible via a narrow spiral staircase. The bastion is home to 16 left-handers, which at that time were used for artillery blast shots.

Stop At: Padrao dos Descobrimentos, Padrao dos Descobrimentos Avenida Brasilia, Belem, Lisbon 1400

One of Lisbon's most recent monuments is an ode to the history of Portugal.
A monumental sculpture by the Tagus River that commemorates the golden age of national history.
This huge stone caravel was built in 1940 for the Portuguese World Exhibition by architect Cottinelli Telmo and sculptor Leopoldo de Almeida.
Only in 1960 was it made permanent to commemorate the fifth centenary of the death of Infante D. Henrique.

Stop At: Mosteiro dos Jeronimos, Praca do Imperio, Belém, Lisbon 1400

Jeronimos Monastery is the most common name of the so-called Santa Maria de Belém Monastery. Located at the foot of the Tagus River and the famous Belém Pastéis, the place draws attention for its magnitude, richness of detail and unique beauty.

Stop At: Parque das Nacoes, Lisbon

an old industrial area that became a modern area and was the headquarters of the 1998 World Expo. The Portuguese capital, besides having very traditional neighborhoods that have been restored over the years, also has some totally new areas, that add another air to the traditional and charming Lisbon. This is the case of Parque das Nações. This 1998 exhibition brought smart solutions and cutting-edge architecture to the city. With her, several attractions emerged. Nowadays, it is one of the most visited and frequented neighborhoods in Lisbon.
