Overview
The tour is completely private and the traveler will decide where to go, what to see and how long to stay.
And it is completely customizable to your needs.
The time indicated in each itinerary is the minimum time, but you can choose to spend more time there or proceed to the next attraction. The number of itineraries that can be visited varies based on how much time you want to spend in one or another attraction and how many people there are, for 1 or 2 people it will be less. Of all the itineraries you can choose from 2 to 5. Obviously you cannot see all the itineraries together but only those that are in the same area. For the boat tour a minimum of 2 participants is required otherwise it will be by canoe.

Description
Stop At: Museo Archeologico Provinciale di Salerno, Via San Benedetto 28, Salerno 84122
With the private tour of Salerno, you will discover all the major points of interest in the city. You will visit the Minerva Garden, the oldest botanical garden in Europe dating back to the Middle Ages, the ticket is included (if open because it is often closed).
We will walk in the historic center of Salerno through very characteristic narrow medieval alleys, we will visit the monumental complex of San Pietro in Corte, the Cathedral of San Matteo with its Crypt, the virtual Museum of the Salerno Medical School which tells the story of the oldest scientific university in 'Europe through suggestive multimedia and interactive reconstructions, and then we will visit the Archaeological Museum of Salerno, the ticket is included, the archaeological exhibition is structured on two floors, following both a chronological and topographical route and most of the works are from the Etruscan period .
After visiting the center of Salerno we will continue towards the Castle or Cava dei Tirreni or Vietri.

After the city tour we continue by car or mini van to visit the Medieval Castle of Salerno Arechi and its museum of medieval weapons inside, the entrance ticket is included with a private visit. The medieval castle of Salerno contains three centuries of Lombard civilization (from the 8th to the 11th century) and is surrounded by a park with nature trails immersed in the Mediterranean scrub. It is also possible to eat lunch at the Castle, but it must be booked and therefore communicated in advance.
After seeing the castle, you either return to Salerno or continue for the tour of Cava dei Tirreni or Vietri.

This tour is combined with that of Salerno or Vietri.
The tour leaves from Salerno to reach Cava dei Tirreni in about 20 minutes.
The tour begins with the Benedictine Abbey SS. Trinità, called Badia di Cava. Entrance ticket is included with private visit and local guide. It is not always open to the public and its opening must be checked and a visit booked. The abbey dates back to the year 1000 and is very large and takes about 1 hour to view. Inside there is an archive library with over 80,000 volumes.
Subsequently we will move to the city of Cava dei Tirreni, which was a medieval city and we will visit the Church of San Francesco and Sant'Antonio, with inside the crypt, the chapel, the mosaics, paintings, the library, and the nativity scene.
We will continue to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria della Visitazione, a church presumably founded around 1089.
With the private tour of Cava dei Tirreni, you will discover all the major points of interest in the city of Cava.

Stop At: Vietri sul Mare, Vietri sul Mare
Continuing the tour of Salerno or Cava dei Tirreni we will visit Vietri sul Mare, known for its ceramic tradition as well as being the only center on the sea and the first town on the Amalfi coast.
We will walk through the small alleys of the town and stop to admire the iconic ceramic works of art that make this city so famous throughout the world. I will introduce you to the local artisans and ceramic factories and show you the best sea views of the city. We could taste Limoncello, a liqueur made with lemons from the coast. Afterwards we will go to the lower part of the town where there is the beach. And in the evening we will return to Salerno.

Stop At: Amalfi Coast
The tour by car or mini van across the Amalfi coast, and you will decide where to stop and for how long in each single place.
Vietri sul Mare is known for its ceramic tradition as well as being the only center on the sea.
Cetara, a UNESCO world heritage site, famous for its anchovy sauce, is a picturesque seaside village on the coast; the convent of San Francesco is also famous here.
Minori is a tourist destination famous for its natural landscapes and renowned culinary tradition, in fact it is known as the City of Taste and its climate makes it very pleasant. In Minori you will stop at the famous Pasticceria di Sal De Riso, the most famous pastry chef in Italy and his desserts are known throughout the world.
Maiori, also a UNESCO world heritage site, has the longest beach on the entire Amalfi Coast, near Maiori there is the beach with the Norman Tower, the Glauco beach and the Erchie beach with one of the Saracen towers.

Stop At: Villa Rufolo, Piazza Duomo, Ravello 84010
Combined with the tour of the Amalfi coast, you can see Villa Rufolo in Ravello above Amalfi.
Amalfi is a picturesque tangle of alleys and stairways overlooking the sea with all its extraordinary colors that reflect the enchanting landscape of Amalfi, the town whose name blesses the entire coast. Dominated by the Cathedral dedicated to Sant'Andrea, Amalfi offers countless testimonies of its glorious past as a Maritime Republic.
Ravello, another pearl of the coast, is an elegant and refined village, surrounded by greenery and characterized by luxurious villas. Ravello is famous throughout the world for its festival, in the garden of Villa Rufolo, where an evocative setting.
We will visit Villa Rufolo together to admire its gardens, its ceramics and see the panorama of the coast from above.
The heart of Ravello is represented by Piazza Vescovado, framed by the architecture of Palazzo Rufolo and the Duomo with its magnificent portal and bell tower.

Stop At: Positano, Positano
This tour is a continuation of the one on the Amalfi Coast.
Positano is a true paradise, developed vertically within an intricate overlap of streets, alleys and shops displaying the colorful fashions of Positano famous throughout the world. In the center of the town there is the Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta which has its large dome, tiled in majolica, and which houses some precious works such as the polychrome marble altars. It's nice to get lost in Positano in its streets, shops, restaurants, monuments, churches and beaches.
You will admire the coast from another point of view: by visiting the most characteristic villages that compose it.

Stop At: Spiaggia dei Limoni, Spiaggia dei Limoni, Strada Statale Amalfitana, 60, 84010 Maiori SA, Italy
For this boat tour it is combined with 3 other beaches and a minimum of 2 participants is required and approximately 3 stops are expected.
For 1 person it will be reached by canoe.
We will meet at the indicated time in the Manfredi port or in Piazza della Concordia in Salerno to board the boat that will take us towards the Amalfi Coast in the direction of Vietri sul Mare until arriving shortly after Ericie.
Limoni beach is a cove that remains more hidden than a common beach.
Its plus point is the location, as it is surrounded by a rocky wall and is therefore secluded, which guarantees total tranquility, intimacy and guaranteed relaxation; it is perfect for a calm and relaxing day. The Limoni beach is characterized by being a wild bay that offers a wonderful natural setting, the sea water is crystal clear, the beach is clean and well cared for and is characterized by having a sand made up of pebbles.

For this boat tour, a minimum of 2 participants is required and there are approximately 3 stops at 3 beaches that can only be reached by boat. If booked by 1 person, you will reach the coast by car and rent a canoe to reach the indicated beaches.
Spiaggia Del Cauco is one of the wild and unequipped coves that dot the Amalfi coast between Maiori and Cetara. It has no access by land, so it can only be reached by boat. The fine-grained pebble beach is guarded by the suggestive Cerniola tower, a Saracen tower and surrounded by high cliffs overlooking the sea. The seabed is shallow and the waters are often placid as they are protected by the Punta Erchie promontory. The beach does not have bathing facilities and those who want to bask in the sun should go there in the morning, because the shade falls in the early afternoon.
A waterproof bag will be provided to store cell phones and their personal items to take with them.

Stop At: Spiaggia di Suverano Lo Sgarrupo, Via Provinciale, 1, 84010 Maiori SA, Italy
For this boat tour, a minimum of 2 participants is required and there are approximately 3 stops at 3 different beaches that can only be reached by boat. It is possible to reach other beaches if the group is large, or by paying extra.
The Suverano Beach (of the Sovereign) known as the Sgarrupo because it is "sgarrupata" is the ideal destination for lovers of natural and wild experiences. It is a natural beach near Maiori which is very difficult to reach and the difficulty in accessing it has allowed it to preserve its uncontaminated landscape beauty over the years. It can be reached either with 200 steps from the road, or by swimming 1 km from Erichie or by boat.
From there it is also possible to get to Simona cove which is located 2 km north of Ericie.
You are expected to stop for as long as you want and then reach another beach and then return to Salerno by 6 in the afternoon.

Stop At: Pompeii Archaeological Park, Porta Marina (via Villa dei Misteri), Pompeii 80045
Arriving in Pompeii after about 40 minutes of travel from Salerno, you will be welcomed by a highly trained guide, for groups of more than 3 people, who will guide you inside the archaeological park and lead us to discover the secrets of the ancient colony buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD

Ercolano which in contrast is much smaller in size but much more grouped together. Entrance ticket is included. The guided tour is only Saturday and Sunday.
Walking through the Herculaneum excavations means knowing the urban fabric, the distribution of the houses in their scenic position, the exceptional thermal complex and the monumental basilica.
According to legend, Herculaneum was founded by the mythical hero Hercules returning from Iberia. It seems to have been affected, in the beginning, by an indigenous settlement and then exposed to Samnite, Greek, Etruscan influences, up to the overwhelming Roman presence.
The city has yielded exceptional finds, such as the beautiful Villa dei Papiri, built overlooking the sea, which housed over 1800 papyrus and wonderful sculptures.
The extraordinary state of conservation of the wood, the bronze parts and above all the elevations of the houses will offer you a clear and detailed vision of Roman residential construction.

Stop At: Museo Nazionale Ferroviario di Pietrarsa, Via Pietrarsa, 16, Naples 80146
The visit to the National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa is combined with that of the Herculaneum site because it is quite close.
In this place you could admire the first train in the world built by the King of the Two Sicilies Ferdinand II of Bourbon in 1839. Which initially served only his travels on the first railway line in the world, 7,411 meters long which connected Naples to Portici.
The collection is made up of over 55 historic rolling stock located in the ancient pavilions of the Bourbon factory which once housed the departments specialized in the various processes of the production cycle.

This tour is combined with that of the archaeological park of Herculaneum and the Railway Museum or the excavations of Pompeii, where it is advisable to bring comfortable shoes and a hat because there are no shaded areas.
The tour is by car or mini van, it depends on the number of people. It includes pick up from your hotel in Salerno and return to Salerno. It is the traveler who decides where to stop and for how long, but visits to all 4 sites are guaranteed only if you are more than 3 people.
The entrance and visit to the Villa di Poppea is included, but here there is no guide for the guided tour, because it is very small and not crowded.
The Villa di Poppea is included among the assets that UNESCO has defined as a "World Heritage Site". Built around the middle of the 1st century. BC, it was enlarged in the imperial age, and was already being restored at the time of the eruption. Its ownership is attributed to Poppea Sabina, second wife of the emperor Nero, but in any case belonging to the heritage of the imperial family.

In the morning we will leave from Salerno for Contursi terme, about a 30 minute journey. There we will spend the whole morning at the thermal park.
The entrance to the thermal park of Terme Capasso or Rosapepe, where there are swimming pools with hot thermal water, the thermal treatment for those who wish, through the use of thermal mud, massages or other things are to be paid on the spot.
At 1.30pm we will leave Contursi Terme to head to the Vassallo estate, which can be reached in approximately 20 minutes, we will then cross the Piana del Sele, a plain famous for its buffalo herds and we will make a stop at the Vannulo dairy, the most famous of all, where you can eat on site and discover how the herds are raised on a tour of the dairy, learn about the production techniques of buffalo mozzarella and taste these delicacies.
At 4.00 pm we will move to the archaeological park of Paestum, entrance included, where we will first visit the museum and then the park.

Stop At: Tenuta Vannulo, Via Galileo Galilei 101, Contrada Vannulo, Capaccio Scalo 84047
The visit to the Vannullo estate is combined with that of Contursi Terme or the Paestum Park. And will be reached around 1.30pm to eat on site.
We will cross the Piana del Sele, a plain famous for its buffalo herds and we will make a stop at the Vannulo dairy, the most famous of all, where you can eat on site and discover how the herds are raised on a tour of the dairy, learn about the buffalo mozzarella production techniques and taste these delicacies.
after lunch you could also see the M.O.A. (Museum of Operation Avalanche) is a museum located in the rooms of the monumental complex of Sant'Antonio and was inaugurated on the day of commemoration of the Allied landing which took place on 9/9/1943, where approximately 1,000 ships with almost 200,000 British and American soldiers landed on the coasts of the Piana del Sele for Operation "Avalanche".
Afterwards you can visit the War Cemetery or the Archaeological Museum of Pontecagnano.

Stop At: Archaeological Park of Paestum, Paestum 84047
On this excursion you will visit one of the most evocative archaeological sites in Italy: the Greco-Roman town of Paestum.
After the pick up from your hotel you will get into the car or a mini van, depending on the number of people, with which we will reach the archaeological site of Paestum, located about fifty minutes away.
Once we arrive at our destination, we will begin a guided tour of Paestum, a place declared a World Heritage Site, a city of Magna Graecia. We will observe the Doric style temples, including the extraordinary construction dedicated to Hera, dating back to the 6th BC.
After seeing the outdoor site which has no shaded areas, we will visit the National Museum of Paestum.
Once the visit is over we will go to eat at the Vannullo estate.
In the afternoon there are 4 alternatives to continue the tour: we will move to the sea in the Battipaglia pine forest, we will visit the Cilento outlet, the archaeological museum of Pontecagnano or the M.O.A. (Museum of Operation Avalanche).

This tour is combined with that of Paestum, once the visit to its museum and archaeological park is finished, we will head to the National Archaeological Museum of Pontecagnano which preserves extraordinary testimonies of the Etruscan civilization in Campania from the 9th century BC.
The route unfolds chronologically, narrating the long history of the area from the most ancient evidence of prehistoric times up to the foundation of the Roman city of Picentia. The entrance ticket is included.
Alternatively you could go to the sea in the pine forest of Battipaglia, where there is a very long beach with the pine forest behind it and arrive in Salerno in the evening, or
visit the Cilento outlet where you can shop at an excellent price, or the M.O.A. (Museum of Operation Avalanche).
Around 6.30pm the tour will be finished, we will return to Salerno and arrive around 7pm.

Stop At: Naples National Archaeological Museum, Piazza Museo, 19, 80135 Napoli NA, Italy
Starting from your hotel for Naples, after almost 1 hour we will arrive at the Archaeological Museum of Naples, ticket and audio guide are included. Inside there are many collections and different exhibitions and events based on the period.
Subsequently you will be able to see the Hypogeum of the Cristallini and Totò's house in the Rione Sanità or walk towards Via dei Tribunali, which is one of the oldest and most characteristic streets in the centre. Along the way we could see numerous churches, the Cappella del Pio Monte della Misericordia which houses “The Seven Works of Mercy”, a masterpiece by Caravaggio, the Obelisk of San Gennaro, a baroque work by Cosimo Fanzago, located in Piazzetta Riario Sforza, and the Cappella Sansevero museum where there is the veiled Christ and the anatomical machines.
Via dei Tribunali is not only famous for art and culture: here are some of the most famous pizzerias in the city such as Gino e Totò Sorbillo, Di Matteo, Dal Presidente, where you can have lunch in one of these.

Stop At: Tesoro di San Gennaro, Via Duomo 149, Naples 80138
Continuing one of the tours of Naples we would head to the Cathedral of Naples and we will also see the Royal Chapel of the Treasure of San Gennaro, the ticket and the audio guide are included.
The treasure of San Gennaro is the richest treasure in the world, the only piece in the world that has a greater value is the crown diamond kept at the Tower of London, but the complete collection of the treasure of San Gennaro is superior.

Starting from your hotel we will reach Naples in about 1 hour and visit the Royal Palace.
Palazzo Reale has represented the center of power in Naples and throughout southern Italy for over three centuries and you will visit the Caruso Museum, the apartment, the Grand Staircase, the Court Theatre, the Throne Room and the Chapel Royal, the Courtyard of Honour, the Romantic Garden, the Gallery of Time, the Carriage Courtyard, the Belvedere Courtyard and the Hanging Garden, the Bourbon Stables and the temporary exhibitions.
Afterwards, if you want, you can eat at the Medina pizzeria restaurant, which is nearby and is one of the most historic in Naples.
In the afternoon we could visit the Maschio Angioino
or we will walk together through the center of Naples, we will see the Spanish neighborhoods until we reach Via dei Mille where there are high fashion shops and then reach the Pignatelli Museum and the Carriage Museum, or the Certosa di San Martino located in the upper part of Naples, on the Vomero.

Stop At: Castel Nuovo - Maschio Angioino, Via Vittorio Emanuele III, Naples 80133
After seeing the Royal Palace we will move to one of the undisputed symbols of Naples, the Maschio Angioino or Castel Nuovo, which is a medieval fortress built by Charles I of Anjou in 1266 for defensive purposes and as a new royal court.
We will visit the Triumphal Arch, the Palatine Chapel, the Hall of the Barons, the Armory Hall, on the first floor: art from the 15th to the 18th, on the second floor: 19th century Neapolitan, on the third floor: 19th century Neapolitan chapel, the Barons' prison and the Civic Museum and the terrace overlooking the Molo Beverello.
Entrance is included in the tour, the group guided tour which takes place on site approximately every 2 hours costs 10 euros.
And in the afternoon you will be offered to see via San Gregorio Armeno, and from there then to the Cathedral of Naples.
Or we will walk together through the center of Naples, to get to the Pignatelli Museum and the Carriage Museum, or the Certosa di San Martino.
After the tour in Naples we will return to Salerno.

Stop At: Grotte di Pertosa-Auletta, Localita Muraglione 18/20, Pertosa 84030
In the morning we will leave from Salerno for Contursi Terme, there we will spend the whole morning at the RosaPepe thermal park, or at the Vulpacchio spa, entrance fee around 15 euros.
At 2 in the afternoon we will visit the Pertosa Caves, a UNESCO site, which are the only caves in Italy where an underground river can be navigated and are also the only ones in Europe to preserve the remains of a pile-dwelling village dating back to 2000 BC. The guided tour, included in the tourist itinerary, lasts about 1 hour and includes a walking section where it is possible to admire 20,000-year-old stalactites and stalagmites.
2 days a month it is possible to do a speleological visit as an alternative to the tourist route, overalls and helmets are provided.

For this tour, if it is booked only by 1 or 2 people, it is possible that the pick-up or end point of the tour is near the Certosa di Padula, i.e. you either choose the outward or return journey from Salerno City. Either I will pick you up at your hotel in Salerno and after the tour you will return to Salerno by bus or the opposite. In the case of more than 3 people it will be a return trip from Salerno.
We will visit the Certosa di San Lorenzo, a UNESCO site, with a guided tour, which is the largest monastic complex in Southern Italy as well as one of the largest in Europe. Built in 1300 and expanded over time until 1800. Subsequently you could visit many places of interest in the typical area, the Hermitage of San Michele a le Grottelle, the Joe Petrosino House Museum, the Surname Museum, the Paleolithic Baptistery of San Giovanni in the source, the Museum of Ancient Vestments.
Alternatively, after the visit to the Certosa di San Lorenzo in Padula, we will visit the Pertosa Caves with a guided tour.
