Day 1: Welcome to Sicily

Stop At: Valderice, Valderice Italy
Arrival in Palermo or Trapani Reception by our staff and transfer to the booked accommodation in the Trapani area.

Day 2: Zingaro Park, San Vito lo Capo, Erice, Trapani

Stop At: Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro, Via Salvo D_Acquisto, 1, Castellammare del Golfo 91014 Italy
After breakfast drive to Scopello to the Zingaro Park (€ 5.00 p.p), a beautiful nature reserve by the sea. The dwarf palm (Chamaerops humilis) grows here, the only wild-growing palm species in Europe that has large populations here. A hike by the sea is planned.

explore the area independently? Only a few KM away are the archaeological excavations of Lentini,
the Regional Archaeological Museum of Carlentini and the UNESCO Area of Pantalica. With intercity buses you can easily reach the second largest city on the island, Catania, which is 30 km away. Or take part in our optional excursion to Etna and Taormina. You drive through lemon and orange plantations with unique landscape panoramas to the largest still active volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. The ride takes you to the "Silvestri Crater" at an altitude of around 2,000 m. From here you can optionally take the cable car up to 2,600 m. Or by jeep up to approx. 3,000 m. The hiking trails that can be explored here are numerous.
